Louise Hay´s life mission was to teach people how to love themselves and how to be there for other people you care about! Another important point for her was how to make guilt and blame vanish from people´s minds and hearts. Her teaching will liberate you mentally and make you physically healthy at the same time, as many studies of psycho-immunology confirm. Some of the key points of her teachings are:
Disease (or ‘dis-ease’) is the product of negative and self-limiting beliefs, even self-sabotaging beliefs and states of mind. When people are not willing or capable to forgive themselves or others, this can become the root of all illness, pain and suffering. Every thought you entertain and every emotion you feel connected with these self-limiting or self-empowering ideas is creating your now and your future. All the positive and negative events you have experienced in your lifetime up to this moment have been generated by your own thoughts and beliefs we have held in the past.
One of the deepest self-limiting beliefs and thoughts for most people, according to Louise has been always, “I’m Not Good Enough!” Logically, the consequence of this belief results in anger, blame, remorse and anxiety. Fear and guilt can create much more negative effects than any other feelings or thoughts. These are the most critical attitudes and beliefs creating stress, disease and pain in your body and in your life. When you continuously blame other people and do not take responsibility for your own experiences, you are keeping yourself trapped in your own prison and thereby you make it very difficult for yourself to heal. Once you learn to understand and accept that you are the only one responsible for all experiences in your life, then you will be able to overcome your pain and sorrow and automatically stop blaming others and take back control of your own life.
Whatever happens “in the outside world”, in the end it is only a mirror of your own inner thoughts and feelings. For example, most times it is your own limiting beliefs that attract people who will treat us in a bad way. This is really hard to accept for most of us, as we have never been taught to look for the solutions inside of us but instead always “out there”.
Practicing self-healing will bring a lot of benefits for yourself, especially for the inner trauma and suffering we still keep inside of us. The following is a short list of that self healing might include:
1. Forgiveness
Self-healing means making peace with yourself and at the same time forgiving other people. Making peace with what has happened in your past is a very complex thing to do in life for all of us. However, if done the right way, this can liberate all negative emotions that we keep inside. This is a powerful method to rebuild yourself and start being whole again, meaning being a complete human being who is capable of feeling compassion, respect and love for yourself and others, to enjoy life and create heaven on earth.
You can use the following powerful technology to make peace with yourself by trying meditation, yoga and prayer. The method goes as follows:
1. Close your eyes, and calm your mind while regulating your breathing to be more relaxed (3 seconds breathing in and 3 seconds breathing out, next 5 seconds in and 5 seconds out). Do this for about 3-5 minutes.
2. Next, put your finger on your forehead
3. Begin to give thanks for life and feel gratitude for all the things you have, like health, family, friends, wealth, etc.
4. Afterwards, step by step try to remember all the errors you have committed and start forgiving yourself and try to accept the situation that happened to you in the past
2. Self Compassion
Additionally, if you want to start making peace with your bad experiences, self-healing represents being honest and true with yourself, like looking at yourself in the mirror. Experience and embrace what feeling you have right now in this moment.
3. Positive Self Talk
As we have stated in the beginning, learning how to talk to yourself is one of the main pillars of self development. If you learn to talk to yourself in the right way, it will make you more relaxed, enhance your mood, be more positive, and it can relieve fear and stress.
4. Gratitude
Self-healing means being thankful for all the people, blessings and things you have in your life. You should be expressing this gratefulness through your proper actions and words on a daily basis. You can start by thanking people who have always stood by your side and helped you out. It can be your family, life partner or some good friends. Get used to say these thankful words directly or send a message to your loved ones, call them directly on the phone and talk to them.
5. Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a wonderful way of self-healing that you can practice to reach complete consciousness, understand and accept the environment you live in. By practicing this every day you can become more caring and careful when dealing with people, in your worklife and when taking decisions in general. People who reach full awareness of their mind, body and soul will find it easier to live a happy and fulfilled life and forgive themselves and all others around them.

Every thought we think is creating our future. All the events we have experienced in our lifetime up to this moment have been created by our thoughts and beliefs we have held in the past. They were created by the thoughts and words we used yesterday, last week, last month, last year, 10, 20, 30, 40, or more years ago, depending on how old we are.
Do WE believe that you deserve to have your desire? If you don’t, you won’t allow yourself to have it. Circumstances beyond your control will crop up to frustrate you. We create the situations, and then we give our power away by blaming the other person for our frustration. No person, no place, and no thing has any power over us, for “we” are the only thinkers in our mind. When we create peace and harmony and balance in our minds, we will find it in our lives.
Loving and approving of ourselves, creating a space of safety, trusting and deserving and accepting, will create organization in our mind, create more loving relationships in our life, attract a new job and a new and better place to live, and even enable our body weight to normalize. People who love themselves and their bodies neither abuse themselves nor others.
We need to choose to release the past and forgive everyone, ourselves included. We may not know how to forgive, and we may not want to forgive, but the very fact that we say we are willing to forgive begins the healing process. It is imperative for our own healing
