The conscious mind can be described as everything that you are currently aware of. What you are feeling, doing, seeing, touching, experiencing. You are conscious of it, or aware of it. Consciousness does not involve stored information. It is what is happening now. It does involve thinking and making decisions. It can be made easy to control your conscious mind because you are able to use it to make choices.

In contrast, your subconscious mind is always working in the background, but normally you are not aware of it. Sometimes it is also called the unconscious mind. Your subconscious mind contains all of the stored information of everything you have ever experienced.

Because of this, the subconscious influences how you react to things, such as why you are shy, lazy, eat too much, or have an addiction. On the positive side, your subconscious mind also affects things like why you are motivated, confident, successful, cheerful, hopeful and so on. The key is using your consciousness to positively influence your subconscious thoughts. Learning how to use the two together is a powerful tool.

It is required to conduct an accurate inventory and analysis of the contents of your self-image!

  • Finding your Best Self – the aim of the self-image psychology is not to create a fictitious self which is all-powerful, arrogant, egoistic and all mportant.

Exercise – set aside a period of 30 minutes each day where you can be alone and undisturbed. Relax and make yourself as comfortable as possible. Now close your eyes and exercise your imagination.

Dehypnotize yourself from false beliefs – the feeling of inferiority comes about for just one reason: people judge and measure themselves not against their own norm or par, but against some other individual´s level. When people do this, they many times, without exception come out second best.

  • Don’t wonder in advance what you are going to say. Just open your mouth and say what you feel and improvise as you go along. Don’t plan too much (take no thought for tomorrow) Don’t think too much before you act.
  • Act – and correct your actions as you go along. This advice may seem radical, yet it is actually the way all servo-mechanisms must work.

Understanding: look for and seek out true information concerning yourself, your problems, other people, or about the situation, whether it is good news or bad news. Adopt the motto – it doesn’t matter who is right, but what´s right.

Courage – you should be willing to make a few mistakes, to suffer a little pain to get what you want. Don’t sell yourself short. You have the resources, you already have all it takes. But you are never sure that you truly have them until you truly act – and give them a chance to work for you.

It must have a clear target to shoot at! Two types of targets: where the target, goal or answer is known, and the objective is to reach it or accomplish it. Where the target or answer is not known and the objective is to discover or locate it.

  • Insecurity – insecurity is based upon a concept of belief of inner inadequacy. If you feel that you do not measure up to what is required, you feel insecure.
  • Loneliness – lack of oneness, doing things with other people and enjoying things with other people, helps you to forget yourself for a moment.
